“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” -Confucius

How should I prepare myself before contacting an interior designer?
• Determine your needs. Write down a list of priorities.
• What are your expectations of the completed project?
• What activities will this space be used for?
• What is your budget?

Why chose an A.S.I.D. certified designer?
• An A.S.I.D. designer has the proper training to see a project through to completion.
• An A.S.I.D. designer is aware of health and safety issues that affect your family.
• A.S.I.D. designers take continuing education courses that keep them in touch with new design trends and resources.
• A.S.I.D. designers are committed to a standard of ethics that advocate and protect the client.

The Five Step Design Process:

1. Consultation - In the initial interview we discuss your needs and the scope of the project and begin to talk about the budgeted numbers. It is a good time for you to have magazine pictures, fabrics from existing upholstery or drapery, and whatever you think might help us visualize your dream.

2. The Agreement - You and your designer come to an agreement on the parameters of the project. We will prepare a written agreement that will clarify the services we will provide for you and the payment terms will be clearly stated.

3. Design Concept - We, the design team, do the major part of
Our work at this point. We develop a design concept based on
the interview, the space, the existing furniture and your taste and lifestyle. At this point we even select the actual furnishings, fabrics, and all other finishes to put together a presentation.

4. The Presentation - You, the client, come to our studio for a
Presentation of the design concept that includes visual aids
such as photographs, floor plans, color boards, samples of
finishes and fabrics, and whatever we can do to help you
completely understand your project.

5. Implementation & Installation - Upon your approval of the design, we will oversee the ordering, receiving, and installation of your project to a successful finish with the utmost attention to the details that make the difference.

Let the journey begin...
